This class is about using the agile framework Scrum for development of new products. Scrum is a simple and powerful framework consisting of roles, events and artifacts designed for self organizing teams to work under conditions of high uncertainty, e.g. when developing products. It helps teams to solve wicked problems by applying lean principles and empirical process control. The framework itself is simple yet it's application is hard, like walking on a rope is explained with a few words, doing it requires lots of practice. Thus after a brief introduction to the rules of the game, we will apply Scrum within a simulation and capture learnings during a debrief session.

What to expect: 

At the end of the class each student will have acquired concrete, practical experiences of using Scrum for building products. Everyone will get a clear understanding of the elements of the Scrum framework, agile values, principles and culture.

How to prep: 

This is a beginners class for those who want to understand how to make use of Scrum for their product development efforts.
