Berlin Geekettes gladly connected Tagesspiegel with Prof. Dr. Katja Nettesheim, founder of_mediate and mentor at hub:raum, and Eva Missling, founder and CEO of 12designer.
Katja recaps: “Gründerzeit 21 was a very interesting event since it linked the startup scene to the local Berlin business world. Jess Erickson’s great network of contacts, as well as her extremely pragmatic and efficient working style made my panel participation happen easily.” Katja participated in the panel discussion concerning bureaucratic challenges many entrepreneurs face when starting a business in Berlin. Some of the questions raised and discussed were: How can lawmakers, administrative offices, and entrepreneurs best work together? Should policies and regulations be different for startups? Are Berlin politics doing enough for the startup scene?
Eva participated in the discussion regarding capital and connections - how do entrepreneurs navigate through the funding maze? Should Berlin provide more resources and financial aid for small business entrepreneurs and startups?
